Melody Peters is an actor, director, instructor and managing director for Rags To Riches theatre for young audiences who has made over 2500 performances over fifteen years of presenting award winning performances to young audiences. With a BFA in acting from UNC-Greensboro, Melody headed out into the theatre world, performing in many regional tours, and landed back in her hometown of Durham, NC.

Lou Peters,
Founder, Artistic Director, Playwright and Actor

Lou Peters is an actor, director, master instructor and playwright who has made over 3500 performances over twenty five years of performing award winning material for young audiences. Lou attended UNC-Greensboro where he earned an MFA in Child Drama and where he developed his audience centered approach to the production of theatrical events.

Lou is the Artistic Director and cofounder of Rags To Riches theatre for young audiences who tour nationally and whose offices are in Durham, NC. Lou has written thirty plays for young audiences, three plays for all audiences and one children's book. As a co founder, Lou has engaged hundreds of thousands of young people with his commitment to the highest quality performance, instruction and production for young people.
